Checking radios

What this can hear

Bluetooth advertisements on 2.4 GHz. Names, signal, and public tag formats.
Wi-Fi network beacons the operating system already listed. Name, address, band, signal.
A tag that stays with you after the phone moves about 150 m for 10 minutes.
Where the receiver is. The map uses the phone or computer GPS fix. A radio is marked at that fix. Signal strength does not move the pin.

What this does not do

No camera. No microphone. No pairing. No joining a network.
It does not read traffic, messages, or phone calls.
A phone is not a spectrum analyzer. Cellular, sub-GHz, and raw radio energy stay out of reach unless a separate receive-only dongle is on the computer.
Scans are not uploaded to 3fs.app. The public page has no listener.

Phone and computer

Galaxy S26

The installed app listens while you travel. It uses a Bluetooth scan and the Wi-Fi list Android already has. It does not send new Wi-Fi probes. The map shows the phone’s GPS fix and marks each radio at that same fix.

This computer

Run the desk listener, then plug the phone in. The link script ties the phone to this machine over USB. The board shows the phone’s sweep and the computer’s own radios. Allow the location prompt if you want this computer’s own fix on the map. Street tiles come from OpenStreetMap. The scan list is not sent with them.
